Which Of The States And UTs Are Free From COVID-19 Till Now

Mumbai: As the country is fighting against Coronavirus Pandemic which has disturbed the normal life there are some states and union territories which have been declared COVID free.

Recently Tripura emerged as the fourth Covid-19 free state after Goa, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. The discharge of the second Covid-19 patient in Tripura has been declared as Coronavirus Pandemic free.

The states and UTs which are free from Coronavirus pandemic as follows, Goa, Tripura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman, and Diu.

According to the health officials, there are 15 active COVID cases in Assam, 11 in Meghalaya and one in Mizoram, besides a 33-year-old trader from Dimapur, Nagaland, undergoing treatment at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital since April 12.

Goa was declared COVID free on 19th April by recovering all Covid-19 patients. The Health Minister, Vishwajit Rao expressed gratitude towards their excellent team workers in a tweet on the same day.

Manipur discharged its 65-year-old second patient on 21st April. Arunachal Pradesh released its lone case on 24th April. A 31-year old was found infected.

Out of the North-Eastern states, Assam has the leading figure of 36 cases and 1 death followed by Meghalaya with 12 cases, Manipur and Tripura 2 cases each and Mizoram and A.P 1 case each. No reports of fresh cases have been found in the N-E states.
