Will Contest Assembly Polls If BJP Decides: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath

Mumbai: While Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Swatantra Dev Singh said the Uttar Pradesh election would be fought under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister said he would contest the upcoming assembly elections if his party takes such a decision.

Adityanath, who is currently a member of the UP Legislative Council, said he has always contested elections and will contest from wherever the party asks.

“The party has a parliamentary board and it decides who will contest from where,” he said in reply to another question.

He further said that the BJP government of the state has done what the party had promised in the last assembly elections of 2017.

On the law and order situation, the CM said that the state has set an example and there was no riot in the last four years and all festivals including Diwali were celebrated peacefully.

Describing UP as the best destination in the country for investment from abroad due to good road connectivity and security guarantee, the CM said that earlier people used to say that UP starts with potholes and ditches and now it has to go for expressways and networks.
