With 32 New COVID Positive Cases Tamil Nadu Tally Reaches 1204

Mumbai: Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Neela Rajesh said that 31 people were reported to be COVID-19 positive on Tuesday, taking the total cases in the state to 1204.

“As of yesterday, the number of samples found to be COVID-19 positive was 1173 and today 31 people have been confirmed,” Rajesh told reporters.

She added, “Of the 31 samples, 21 are related to single-source contact, 1 has a history of inter-state travel and 9 other contacts. Each person has been traced to a particular contact.”

He said that the number of cases of severe respiratory infections (SARI) in the last 24 hours has been 69 and none of them has been found positive.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said the total number of coronovirus cases in India rose to 10,815 in India on Tuesday, with the fastest increase in 1,463 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours and 29 deaths.
