World Has Many Expectations From Us Today: PM Modi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the world has high expectations from India and thus, it is necessary to show courage and work to overcome the challenges.

In response to the proposal of the President’s address to the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister said, “Today the world has high expectations from us. It is essential that we show courage and work to overcome the challenges we are facing.”

He said, “India can no longer wait for problems to be solved. And, that is why. That is why, our objective is: speed and scale, determination and judgment, sensitivity and resolution.”

On the previous governments moving to power, the Prime Minister said, “If we had acted according to the old ways: Ram Janmabhoomi issue would have remained unresolved. The Kartarpur Sahib corridor would not have been a reality. India would not have been. Bangladesh land agreement.”

“The people of India have not only changed ‘sarkar’ (government). They want ‘sarokar’ (concern) to be changed as well. If we had acted according to the old ways and thought processes: Article 370 never Hota. There has been history. Muslim women must have kept suffering due to triple talaq, “Modi highlighted one of the major achievements of his government.
