‘Some Tube Lights Work Like This’ PM Modi’s Jibe At Rahul’s ‘Dande Marenge’

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded sharply to Rahul Gandhi‘s remark that ‘youth will beat PM with sticks’ and said he would increase the frequency of Surya Namaskar to tackle the attack.

Prime Minister Narendra was responding to the motion of thanks on the President’s address to the Lok Sabha.

“A Congress leader has announced yesterday that within six months they will hit Modi with sticks. And it is true that this is a difficult thing, hence six months will be required for the preparation. So the six months of time is good.”

Outlining his idea for yoga and using the context to take a light jib, Modi said, “But I have also decided that in these six months I will increase the number of ‘Surya Namaskar’, so that, same as I have made myself abuse-proof in last 20 years I will do as many as Surya Namaskar to strengthen my back so that such beating by a stick can be tolerated. Hence I am grateful that they have announced in advance so that I can increase my exercise regime in these six months.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stood up and as soon as Modi finished this part of his speech, he did not listen to the uproar in Parliament.

“I was speaking for 30-40 minutes now, but currently have reached there”, PM Modi quipped, pointing at the Congress leader to sit.

“Some tube lights work like this,” he added.
