Yogi Adityanath Provides 50 Acres To Atal Bihar Vajpayee Medical University

Mumbai: On Tuesday the Uttar Pradesh government approved the transfer of 50 acres of land in order to set the new Atal Bihar Vajpayee Medical University in the State Capital. The decision to do so was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath.

The government has also decided to hand over around 1,210 square metres of land at Kanth Tehsil in Moradabad for building a bus station. Even though the market cost of the place is Rs. 10 crores the government would give it away for free of cost. While briefing the media about the transfer of 50 acres of land the state government spokesperson said that the university was set to build on the outskirts of Uttar Pradesh’s capital.

The spokesperson said, “While 29 acres of land would be given by the health department, another 15 acres by the medical education department and the remaining 15 acres would be transferred by Lucknow Development Authority which was earlier given to the super speciality cancer hospital.”

The government along with providing free land to build the bus station will also construct the bus station for Rs. 3.5 crores. The government had also decided to demote Sayeed Ahmed Hussain over the allegations of corruption and indiscipline and will also provide Rs. 10,000 as HRA to the non-political vice president of all corporations of the state.

In the cabinet meeting, it was also approved to change the member of the 5th pay commission and that the state Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will be its Chairperson.
