₹5,625-Crore Ahmedabad IPL Team To Be Called ‘Gujarat Titans’
Mumbai: The Ahmedabad franchise of the Indian Premier League will be called ‘Gujarat Titans’, the owners announced today.
Gujarat Titans were bought by Irelia Company Pte Ltd (CVC Capital Partners) for ₹5,625 crore. The franchise is yet to unveil its logo.

Making its debut in the 15th season of the IPL, Gujarat Titans will pay tribute to the state’s rich cricketing heritage, which has produced countless Indian international cricket legends over the years.
The franchise is inspired by the opportunity to represent and build on this deep cricketing legacy, as well as build on its future success on the pitch.

Earlier, Ahmedabad had revealed its three picks ahead of the mega auction. Hardik Pandya (Rs 15 crore), Rashid Khan (Rs 15 crore), and Shubman Gill (Rs 8 crore) were the three draft pick of the franchise.
Vikram Solanki has been appointed as the Director of Cricket for Ahmedabad, while Hardik Pandya will lead the franchise. Gary Kirsten will serve as the batting coach and mentor of the Ahmedabad franchise while Ashish Nehra has been appointed as the head coach.
