115 New COVID-19 Cases In Pondy, Tally Reaches 41,341

Mumbai: 115 new coronavirus infections were seen in Puducherry during the 24 hours ending at 10 am on Tuesday, bringing the total to 41,341 in Puducherry.

Meanwhile, the death toll has raised to 682.

Director of Health and Family Welfare Mohan Kumar said that apart from the co-morbidity of diabetes among the dead, there were complaints of acute respiratory disease syndrome and covid pneumonia.

The number of active cases was 1011, while 284 were in hospitals, the remaining 727 patients were out of the house.

The director said that 39,648 patients have been recovered and discharged so far.

During the last twenty-four hours, 115 new cases identified at the end of the examination of 2,427 people were spread across Puducherry 61, Karaikal 51, Yanam two and Mahe one.

The mortality and recovery rates were 1.65 per cent and 95.90 per cent, respectively. The director said that 94 patients were discharged during the last 24 hours.

So far, 6.69 lakh samples have been tested and it has been found that 6.19 lakh of them were negative.
