21 Fresh Cases Of COVID-19 In Andhra, Tally Reaches 132

Mumbai: In a fresh report, 21 fresh cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, taking the tally of people infected with the lethal virus to 132.

State Nodal Officer Arja Srikanth said, “Andhra Pradesh has 21 more COVID-19 cases registered, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 132.”

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said on Wednesday that 70 of the state’s 87 coronavirus positive patients participated in the Tablighi Jamaat program in Nizamuddin area of ​​Delhi.

“There was a congregation in Delhi, which was attended by many foreign delegates. People from our state have also gone to that congregation and many of them have been infected with the virus. Out of 87 coronavirus positive cases reported in our state till Wednesday, 70 of them were among those who attended that congregation at Delhi,” Reddy said.

He appealed to private medical colleges, private doctors, IMA members and private nurses to join these services.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that on Thursday total cases of coronavirus in India reached 1965, after confirming 131 people were positive in the last 12 hours.

At present, there are 1764 COVID-19 active cases in the country and 50 people have died due to the lethal infection.
