218 New COVID19 Cases Reported In Andhra Pradesh, State Tally Reaches To 5,247

Mumbai: The COVID19 rally in Andhra Pradesh reached 5,247 on Wednesday as 218 new cases were added in the last 24 hours, leading to an increase in virus infections in the state due to foreign returns.

Fifty-six people who returned to the state from various foreign countries tested positive for coronavirus.

In addition, 136 locals and 26 people from other states have also contracted the virus, which is the state’s gross 5,247, the latest bulletin said.

The gross number includes 4,126 locals, 933 from other states, and 188 foreign returners.

A COVID19 patient died in East Godavari district, bringing the total to 78.

On Wednesday, 94 coronavirus patients were cured and discharged, which is 2,869 in the state so far.

According to the bulletin, there are 2,300 active coronavirus cases in the state.

Meanwhile, the city of Vijayawada is developing as a coronavirus, of which 42 out of 64 civilian wards are classified as an amalgamation zone.

With this, there is no relief to the citizens from the lockdown as Krishna district Collector A Md Imtiyaz issued an order stating that all restrictions would be in place till further orders
