22-Year-Old Woman, Out On Walk With Her Fiancé, Gangraped In Jharkhand
Mumbai: A 22-year-old woman who was out on a walk with her fiancé was gang-raped in Jharkhand on Thursday night. The accused men also took her bag and mobile phone with them and left her at a secluded place in West Singhbhum district
The incident happened near Barijal village in Mufassil police station area on Thursday evening when the couple was out for a stroll, they said.
Somehow, the fiancée was able to leave the area and contact the police.
According to SP Ashutosh Shekhar, a police squad was quickly dispatched to the scene, and after quickly first help, she was taken to the Sadar hospital for treatment.
According to him, police in Kitaguttu village on Friday detained five people after acting on the woman’s suggestions.
The backpack and phone were also found by police, he continued.
