3 FIRs Registered In Connection With Bandra Gathering

Mumbai: Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner (DCP) (Zone IX) Abhishek Trimukhe said that Mumbai Police has registered three FIRs at Bandra railway station on Tuesday.

“We are looking into the video and all the details. In three cases, one of the accused Vinay Dubey has been sent to police custody till April 21,” Trimukhe told ANI.

Dubey was booked under sections 117, 153A, 188, 269, 270 and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for threatening to launch the agitation on 18 April.

Dubey has been accused of inciting migrants through his social media posts.

More than 1,000 migrant workers gathered outside the station in Bandra on Tuesday, hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockout by 3 May and demanded transport arrangements to return to his hometown.
