53 % Voter Casted Their Vote In Rajasthan

Mumbai: Nearly 53 per cent of the voters cast their vote in the fourth phase of elections in Rajasthan by 3 pm.

In the state’s largest parliamentary constituency, Barmer, Barmer was the highest at 60.36 per cent till 3 PM.

After Barmer, the second largest voter tribal population was told from Banswara, where at 3 pm, 57.63 per cent of the voters cast their votes.

The constituency covers half of the entire Barmer and Jaisalmer district and is located on the India-Pakistan border in western Rajasthan.

Even in this area, it is difficult to campaign in a part of the Thar Desert, where the candidates have to travel hundreds of kilometres every day to reach the voters living in far-flung villages and settlements.

Constituency, in which 72.56 voters were registered in the 2014 general elections, there are 19.32 lakh voters.
Vaibhav Gahlot, son of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been set up against Union Minister of State and sitting MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Polling is going on in 13 constituencies of Tonk-Sawimadhapur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalawar-Barnan in Rajasthan.
