63,000 PPE Kits Arrived From China Are Not Good Enough, Says Health Ministry

Mumbai: Personal safety equipment kits from China have also been found to be at fault after several countries raised issues with test kits supplied by China. Sources in the Ministry of Health have revealed that those kits do not meet the criteria.

India has also taken orders for test kits from China. A batch of 3,00,000 COVID-19 kits have been approved by the Customs Department in Guangzhou, China, and headed for New Delhi. 2-3 million antibody-based kits are expected to arrive in India in the next few weeks. The central government had placed an order with Chinese firms for more than 7 lakh kits which were due by April 8.

Previously, it was alleged that China had sent Pakistan masks made of underwear. “China has sent masks made of underwear in the name of to-quality N95 masks. It was also one lakh from the provincial health officials receiving medical aid. Without the correct investigation, masks were sent to Qatar Hospital in Karachi. Lahore-based Newsbrick TV said that doctors and the para-medical staff there called it buffalo rearing by China.

The government of Nepal has signed a major agreement for coronovirus test kits and protective gear signed with a private Chinese company to give them sub-standard quality.

Spain shipped millions of purchased kits back to China. Up to 80 per cent of the 150,000 portable, accelerated coronavirus test kits delivered to the Czech Republic earlier this month, reported the national review, citing the local Czech news site Expats.cz.
