Tripura Government Presented A Budget Of Rs 17,530 Crore For 2019-20

Mumbai: Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Verma presented a tax-free and zero-deficit budget of Rs 17,530.46 crore for the financial year 2019-20.

He later told the reporters that the state government could achieve 14.5 per cent revenue growth compared to last year, due to better tax management and administrative matters.

Minister of State for Finance Jishnu Dev Verma said that the collection of tax revenue of himself is Rs 2,048.95 crores, while the non-tax revenue estimates are Rs 285.21 crores in 2019-20.

Total receipts from the Center are estimated at a budget of Rs. 12,764.30 crore and revenue expenditure and capital expenditure totalling Rs. 17,530.46 crore.

The state government has decided to increase the social pensions from Rs 700 to Rs 1,000 per month in the first phase for certain categories of beneficiaries said, Dev Varma.

The Minister said that under NABARD’s Mini Dairy scheme, 10,000 cows (per household) to the women members of 5,000 families will be provided to promote milk production in the state, for which the Tripura Government will provide 100% interest. Subsidies.

He said that a total of 1,867 check dams will be constructed which will create “comprehensive” opportunities for fisheries, drinking water supply and irrigation.

Dev Varma added that 2,110 self-help groups will be formed and livelihood opportunities will be created for 52,030 families.
