COVID Cases In India Crosses 10 Lakh Mark

Mumbai: According to the Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare India reported the highest single-day spike of 34,956 cases and 687 deaths. Total positive cases stand at 10,03,832 including 3,42,473 active cases, 6,35,757 cured/discharged/migrated and 25,602.

With this Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 10 lakh mark. 

Notably, Maharashtra is one of the worst states hit by the virus as 8,641 positive cases were reported in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,84,281. 

The death toll in the state has surged to 11,194 after 266 deaths reported in the last 24hrs. 

Meanwhile, Delhi which is the second-worst state hit by the virus, has reported a minor decrease in the number of cases as 1,652 positive cases were reported in the last 24hrs, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,18,645. 

Interestingly the recovery rate of Delhi has risen to 97,693 after 1,994 patients recovered in the last 24hrs. Active COVID cases in Delhi stands 17,407.
