AAP To Contest Assembly Elections From Telangana

Mumbai (New Delhi) : The AAP party member on Friday stated that the party would contest all 119 seats in upcoming 2019 Assembly Elections in Telangana.

The south state MLA Somnath Bharti also said that they were asked to join Bahujana Left Front (BLF), which includes the CPI(M), but however AAP turned down the request.

In a press conference he mentioned that the Telangana public is looking for a face as alternative to the “corrupt and incompetent duopoly” of the Telangana Rashtra Samit(TRS) and the Congress. Hence, according to him, AAP has that honest and fresh  face for the state.

“The party has humbly decided to contest on its own strength in this election. The party will field candidates on all 119 seats,” Bharti said.

He also alleged KCR government for making ‘false promise’ to the Telangana people.

“Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao was entrusted by the people of the state to build strong foundations of the newly formed state. However, he betrayed the people on every promise made by him before the election,” Bharti charged.

He also promoted AAP in terms of developments they did in New Delhi regarding in the fields of education, health and public service delivery which has earned widespread appreciation and the people in Telangana.

Rao resigned early this month and recommended dissolution of the Legislative Assembly. Currently, he is continuing as a care taker chief minister in the state.
