After Ajaz Patel’s 10 Wickets, New Zealand Record Lowest-Ever Test Total Against India

Mumbai: After Ajaz Patel took all 10 Indian wickets, India dismissed New Zealand for 62 runs on Day 2 of the second Test in Mumbai.

It is the lowest-ever total in Test cricket against India and also the lowest-ever Test total on Indian soil.

Senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (4/19) and pacer Mohammad Siraj (3/19) shared seven wickets between them as the Indian bowlers broke New Zealand’s batting line-up to take a 263-run lead in the first innings.

New Zealand’s No. 8 batsman Kyle Jamieson top-scored with 17 while captain and opener Tom Latham (10) was the next best batsman.

Earlier, India was all out for 325 during the second session, with left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel becoming the third bowler in Test cricket history to take all 10 wickets in an innings.
