Andra Pradesh Reports 704 COVID-19 Cases, Tally Rises To 14,595

Mumbai: 704 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh, which took the total of 14,595 on Tuesday.

According to the latest Health Department bulletin, the toll rose to 187 with seven fresh casualties.

Since June 1, when Unlock 1.0 began, the state has seen a rapid increase in coronovirus infections, as there were 10,919 cases reported this month, which government data shows.

From March 12, when the first COVID-19 case was registered in the state, till May 31, the total number of cases in the state was 3,676.

In a total of 14,595 cases, health officials say, 12,202 were locals while 1,997 were returned from other states and 396 from other countries.

But the increase in local affairs is also not insignificant as 8,526 were added in the last 30 days.

A total of 3,118 local cases were registered in the state from March 12 to May 31.
