“Apoorva Shukla Confessed That She Killed Her Husband Rohit Shekhar Tiwari,” Police Said
Mumbai: Police said that wife of Rohit Shekhar has confessed her crime as we got strong evidence against her.
Tiwari’s wife Apoorva Shukla was arrested earlier in the charge of murder. Confirming the arrest, additional CP (crime) Rajiv Ranjan said, “With the arrest of Apurva Shukla Tiwari, the crime surrounding the murder of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari has been sorted out by the crime branch. On April 10, Tiwari went to vote in Uttarakhand with his mother, relatives and driver and returned on April 15. He was drinking alcohol with a woman relative from Uttarakhand to Delhi.

After dinner, Tiwari went to his room where he joined Apurva around 12.30am.
Ranjan said that Apoorva, a lawyer practising in the Supreme Court, has confessed to the crime. “It was not previously planned but there was bitterness between the two. From day one, they had a turbulent marriage. He said that Rohit got drunk while sitting in the car. Apoorva gave her strangle.
According to Ranjan, Tiwari’s post mortem report said that he died two hours after his meal, which was at 11 pm and Apoorva insisted that he should go from 1 pm to 2 pm before going to his room for the night.
The next day, whenever Tiwari’s mother wanted to talk to him, Apoorva told her that he was asleep for long.
Tiwari was found dead last week. Initially, it appeared to be a matter of cardiac arrest, but doctors of AIIMS expressed concern and the police filed a murder case.
