BJP Files Complaint Against Arvind Kejriwal And AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj For Their Comments On NRC

Mumbai: The current ruling party led by PM Narendra Modi Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a complaint in Parliament Street police station against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj for ‘spreading misinformation in public about the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, BJP leaders Kapil Mishra and Neelkant Bakshi requested the police to lodge a complaint against the Delhi Chief Minister and the MLA, ‘spreading rumors, attempting to breach the peace, deliberately via social media Spreading lies. Hurting the sentiments of the people living in Delhi, who hail from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, impedes the implementation of the Supreme Court directives and efforts to spoil law and order in Delhi. “

The complaint came after Kejriwal slammed Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari for his remarks about implementing the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the national capital.

Responding to a question asked by the media, Kejriwal on Wednesday said that if NRC is implemented in Delhi, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari will be the first to leave the capital.

“The Chief Minister and the MLA deliberately said that if the NRC is implemented in Delhi, the people of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha will be thrown out,” the letter said.

In their letter, BJP leaders also accused the duo of spreading misinformation about NRC in public.

The letter further states that it is also possible that this is a conspiracy to save Bangladeshi and Rohingya intruders and somehow disrupt the directions of the Center and the Supreme Court in the process of identifying the intruders.
