Olympic Medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, Former Hockey Team Captain Sandeep Singh Joins BJP

Mumbai: Olympic 2012 bronze medal-winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and former Indian hockey team captain Sandeep Singh joined BJP.

Sandeep Singh scored the most goals and won the Man of the Tournament award in the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Scoring 16 goals, Singh was the leading goal scorer in the qualifying tournament for the 2012 London Olympics.

Meanwhile, Yogeshwar Dutt was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013. He won a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Speaking with ANI news agency  Yogeshwar Dutt said, “As a youth, I want to work for the nation. PM Modi abrogated Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir, he achieved the impossible. I am very impressed with him. The country is happy after abrogation of Article 370.”

Whereas, Former Indian Hockey captain & BJP leader Sandeep Singh said, “I have joined politics as I am impressed with PM Modi. His honesty drew me to the party. Both PM and Haryana CM are doing a lot for the youth. If the party considers me capable of contesting elections then I surely will.”you
