BJP Likely To Offer 13 Portfolios, Deputy CM Post As Shiv Sena Softens Stand

Mumbai: As there are lots of Misconjunctions between the Shiv Sena and BJP ally it’s being tough for Shiv Sena to take any decision.

Uddhav Thackeray the Shiv Sena president wants his son Aditya Thackeray who had won in Worli election this year to be chief minister of Maharashtra as there was the 50-50 formula between BJP-Shivsena. But the current CM Devendra Fadanvis say that he will be the chief minister for the next five years as he says there are no plans but it is only the plan A.

Sanjay Raut had said, “To form a government, the side claiming the post needs to show 145 seats on the floor of the house…that is all that matters,  We believe in the alliance (with BJP) as we contested the polls jointly. But the BJP should not compel us to commit the sin of looking for an alternative for government formation.”

Meanwhile, Ramdas Athawle had, “Shiv Sena has the state’s ‘kundali’ in its hand right now. They have to decide which way they want to go, and I think they should decide quickly.”

But after such reaction, Shiv Sena softened their hand on CM seat and the BJP is willing to offer 13 portfolios to the Sena. However, it is likely to deny any major ministeries to the Uddhav Thackeray-led party, reports suggest.

If reports are to be believed, the Shiv Sena had proposed a 21:18:04 formula this time, after deliberating on the ’50:50 formula’, however, the BJP did not approve of giving that number of ministeries. As there was no confirmation from either party the BJP was confident about they might break the coalition. There is the preparation started over the swearing ceremony at Wankhede stadium.

Notably, Maharashtra’s incumbent Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was elected as the leader of BJP legislative party on Wednesday. The BJP is also keeping the portfolios of home, urban development and finance-revenue, sources said.
