BSF Jawan Kills Self In J&K Over Wife’s Suicide In Raj After Fight

Mumbai: The police stated on Wednesday that a 28-year-old BSF jawan stationed in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, reportedly committed himself after learning of his wife’s Anshu Yadav’s suicide, who was 24 years old, back in Rajasthan.

The pair, who were married for eight months, and it seems they had phone fights, a SHO stated. Police noted that a case has been filed in the subject.

Rajendra Yadav (28), a head constable with the Border Security Force (BSF) stationed in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, shot himself with his service handgun after learning of her passing, according to reports.

The woman’s body was given to family members following a postmortem, according to Rajesh Meena, SHO of the Harsaura police station in the Kotputli-Behror region.

Meena stated, “It appears that the woman committed suicide after it came to light that they got into a fight over the phone.”

According to him, Rajendra Yadav’s remains would probably be transported to Jaipur on Thursday. Eight months ago, Anshu and Rajendra Yadav tied the knot, according to the SHO.

The sub-divisional officer has taken over the investigation and a case has been filed under section 176 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (inquest procedures), according to the police.
