Cab Driver Sends Nude Pics To Woman On WhatsApp After She Cancels Ride In Bengaluru
Mumbai: Police are looking for a cab driver for allegedly sending nude photos and videos on WhatsApp to a 32-year-old woman after she cancelled her ride on an app in Bengaluru.
The woman said that driver forced her to take the ride after calling her. According to the woman’s police complaint, the accused driver did this because she had to abruptly cancel the journey that she had scheduled through a taxi aggregator.
The woman has also brought up the question of how the driver obtained her number although she was using the cab aggregator’s phone to arrange the ride.The mother reported that when she went to pick up her daughter from school, the girl requested to take a cab rather than walk home because it was so hot and sunny.
The mother chose to use a private can aggregator to reserve a taxi after failing to locate a rickshaw. The woman has also brought up the question of how the driver obtained her number although she was using the cab aggregator’s phone to arrange the ride.
The woman was in the autorickshaw when the driver called and became combative with her over having to cancel the service.
The driver began pressuring the woman to ride along after claiming to have travelled five km. He persisted in pressing and phoning the woman notwithstanding her appeal and apology.
The Times of India, an English-language newspaper, said that the woman then went up to the police.But the driver also sent the woman indecent and dirty pictures and even explicit messages. The woman broke down and told her neighbour about the experience.
The driver then erased many messages and ceased phoning when the neighbour reprimanded him, gave him a hard time, and threatened to share the screenshots with the police. Police have filed a complaint under the applicable provisions and are currently searching for the driver and looking into the situation.
