Mumbai: An charge sheet has been filed against accused in the Alwar gang-rape case in a court here.
On 26th April five accused had allegedly gang-raped a woman in front of her husband at Thanagaji-Alwar Road. Another accused shot a video clip of crime and broadcast it on social media.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Chiranjee Lal told PTI, “The charge sheet was filed against the accused on Saturday.”
The FIR was registered on May 2 and later the police arrested Indrapras Gurjar, Ashok Gurjar, Chhota Lal Gurjar, Hansraj Gurjar and Mahesh Gujar, accused of five rape, under relevant sections of IPC and SC / ST Act. Mukesh Gujjar, who had shot and broadcasted the video, was also kept under the IT Act.
The husband of the victim alleged that due to delay in filing an FIR with the police officials, a massive protest was begun on the issue when asked to wait till elections are over.
