‘Chhapaak’ Review Critics Claims Deepika Padukone Starrer As ‘Powerful’ And ‘Gut-Wrenching’

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey starrer ‘Chhapaak’ set to hits the theatres and critics can’t stop praising the filmmaker’s “skilled direction” to lauding the actors “masterful performances”, the review has left fans on the edge as the first show begins in a few hours.

Chhapaak, Deepika, in her upcoming film Chhapaak, essayed the role of Malati, a woman who grew like a phoenix from the ashes after facing an acid attack. The film is based on a real-life acid attack survivor named Lakshmi Agarwal, who suffered an acid attack at the age of 15 in Delhi.

Meghna Gulzar highlights the importance of directing confidence and tries to remove the stigma associated with the life of an acid attack Survivor.

Both Meghna and Deepika have said that the story of Chhapaak depicts the survivors of acid attacks as weak human beings, rather it normalizes their journey and reveals their unwavering faith and hope in life.
