Cong Member Raises Priyanka Security Breach Issue In Lok Sabha

Mumbai: In a view of a security breach at Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s residence, Congress member in Lok Sabha termed it as a “matter of serious” concern.

During Zero Hour, Anto Antony (Congress) also raised the issue of replacing the special security group cover of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s family with Z-Plus’ protection provided by the Central Reserve Police Force.
“If it was foolproof how did seven people barge in,” he asked.

He also urged the government not to do politics on the safety of the family lost to two prime ministers in violent deaths.

This happened when seven unidentified persons in a car landed in the verandah of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s Lodhi Estate house and went to her to take photos. The Congress General Secretary’s Office has raised the issue of a security breach with the Central Reserve Police Force on 26 November.

The car along with three men, three women and a girl getting out of the vehicles went to the porch near the garden of her house.

It has also been said that they walked up to Priyanka Gandhi and asked for photos to be taken with her. She spoke with them nicely, they took pictures with her and then left.

The Centre last month replaced the SPG (Special Protection Group) cover of the family of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, assassinated by LTTE terrorists on May 21, 1991, with ‘Z-plus’ security provided by the Central Reserve Police Force.
