Mumbai: Despite Congress opposing the government’s decision to scrap Article 370, party MLA Aditi Singh on Monday praised the decision, tweeting, “United we stand! Jai Hind #Article370”.

After a user commented that she’s from Congress on the tweet, Singh responded, “Main Ek Hindustani hoon (I am an Indian)”.

Recently Modi led government scrapped Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and proposed that the state be bifurcated in two union territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reacted for the first time saying, “National integration isn’t furthered by unilaterally tearing apart J&K, imprisoning elected representatives and violating our Constitution. This nation is made by its people, not plots of land.”
