COVID-19: 14 New Coronavirus Positive Cases Reported In J&K, Tally Reaches 106

Mumbai: Officials said 14 new cases of the novel coronavirus epidemic were detected in Kashmir on Sunday, raising the number of infections in Jammu and Kashmir to over 100.

According to officials, the number of cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) in the union territory has now reached 106.

“Fourteen fresh cases were detected in Kashmir today,” the officials said.

Two patients have died so far, four have recovered and seven have tested negative after treatment. These patients will have to undergo another examination before being discharged from the hospital.

More than 28,000 people have been kept under surveillance, including 10,600 who are either at quarantine facilities set up by the government or are in house isolation.

The number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 3,374, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to coronavirus has surged to 77 in the country. Out of the total cases, 3,030 cases are active, while 267 patients have been cured, discharged or migrated.
