COVID-19 Positive Cases In India Rises To 606: Health Ministry

Mumbai: On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the total number of positive coronavirus cases in India had risen to 606.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country so far is 553, while the number of people recovering or discharged is 42.

The ministry further stated that ten people have died of the disease while one case has escaped.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockout across the country to combat the spread of coronavirus, saying “social disturbances” are the only option to combat the disease, which spreads rapidly.
