Dr. Guleria further stated that people with comradeship and elderly people should be vaccinated as soon as possible.

“I still believe the chance of dying due to COVID19 is much higher in those with comorbidities and elderly, we should focus on trying to vaccinate them at the earliest and also look at the larger population who can be vaccinated in a graded manner,” he added.

The AIIMS chief further said that vaccination of the entire population in one or two or one months is not possible.

“I think we should develop a strategy of giving appointments that could be two, three or four months later for younger age group and gradually work on a strategy that more and more people can be vaccinated,” Dr Guleria said.
