COVID19: Karnataka Introduces ‘Quarantine App’ To Track People In Isolation

Mumbai: Amid the sudden increase in coronavirus cases in the last few weeks, the state government is taking stringent steps to ensure that the chain of broadcasting is effectively disrupted.

In line with this agenda, the state has decided to introduce a ‘quarantine watch’ mobile application to track the movement of people kept in isolation.

“Apart from extending the test, we are also introducing the quarantine watch app. We are introducing quarantine stamping from today because positivity rates increased between 20-40 years of age. So, we don’t want their movement when they’re in isolation,” Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar said on Thursday.

There are some large religious and political gatherings for which I have sought time with the state election commissioner today. I’ll request him to minimise this and issue a circular,” the Karnataka Health Minister said.
