“Day Night Test Matches Is The New Way To Bring Excitement In Test Cricket” Says Virat Kohli

Mumbai: Less than 24 hrs remaining to kick off 1st test against Bangladesh. All players have geared up. Yesterday Indian team was practising using pink ball as they don’t have much time between the closure of the 1st test and opening of 2nd test.

Ahead of first Day and Night test match in India Virat Kohli in a press conference said that “I think it’s a new way to bring excitement in test cricket. The pink ball I played with yesterday, felt like it swings a lot more compared to the red ball. You require extra concentration to pick the pink ball suddenly when you are playing with a red ball.”

Pink ball in night conditions swings more than red ball as we have seen in Australia and England so it will be a test for Indian batsman to adapt with the swing of the pink ball.

As the interest to test cricket in India Is decreasing, therefore, BCCI officials think by keeping Test matches in Day Night conditions the interest for the viewers will increase and test cricket will get to new heights.

India tomorrow will play 1st test of the series against Bangladesh in Indore. While the Day-Night Test match is to be played on 22nd November in Kolkata.
