Death Of Arun Jaitley, India Has Lost A Great Leader: Manmohan Singh

Mumbai: After the shocking news of the former Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley’s death broke out entire India is stunned and is expressing their condolence and reminiscing Jaitley’s achievements, works and political journey. The former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh in a letter expressed his condolences to the family of the later Jaitley Ji.

In a letter to late Jaitley ji’s wife, Sangeeta Jaitley Mr Manmohan Singh said that the shocking news of Jaitley ji’s death filled him with sorrow. “He (Jaitley) was an eminent lawyer, an excellent orator, a very good administrator and an outstanding parliamentarian. In his death, the country has lost a great leader who always worked for the betterment of society.”

Congress President Sonia Gandhi too shared her condolences by saying that the BJP leader had contributed a lot to the society and he will be forever remembered. “Shri. Jaitley had a long innings as a public figure, Parliamentarian and minister and his contributions to the public life will forever be remembered.”

The Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot too expressed his sadness. He said, “Deeply saddened to know of the untimely demise of former Union minister and senior BJP leader, Shri. Arun Jaitley. My heartfelt condolences to his family members. May God give them strength. May his soul rest in peace (sic).”

The former Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley took his last breath at the AIIMS in New Delhi at 12:07 pm. The BJP leader served as the Finance minister of India from 2014 to 2019 in the Modi government. He, however, resigned from the post owing to his medical conditions. He was admitted at AIIMS as he complained of breathlessness and restlessness. His health though was reported to be deteriorating.
