Decomposed Body Of 2-Year-Old Boy Stuck In Tamil Nadu Borewell For 80 Hours Recovered

Mumbai: After a three-day long struggle, 2-year-old Sujith Wilson was found dead in the wee hours of Tuesday, he was brought out after 80 hours of struggle the body has been taken to hospital.

The body of the deceased minor was taken out by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team and taken to the hospital.

Transport Department Principal Secretary J Radhakrishnan had earlier said that Sujit’s body was in a highly decomposed state inside the borewell and was under final inspection.

“Sujit Wilson, the two-year-old toddler’s body is now in a disintegrated state. All efforts were made to bring the child alive, but now, in unfortunate incidents, the borewell has started to smell bad. The child had fallen,” Radhakrishnan had told media quoting the doctors.

Government officials and rescuers had been working continuously for over 80 hours to get the child out.

On October 25, Sujith fell into the borewell while playing near his house at about 5:30 pm here. Later, he slipped further down into the borewell, with an official statement that Wilson was stuck at a depth of 88 feet.
