Delhi: Quack Arrested For Raping A Girl Under The Pretext Of Curing Illness Using Black Magic
Mumbai: Delhi Police on Monday arrested a quack doctor in the Seemapuri area for raping a doctor on the pretext of curing a disease by doing black magic.
The victim reported the incident to her mother on February 12, and filed an FIR under sections 354 (assault with intent to outrage modesty), 376 (rape) and 328 (with intent to cause hurt by means of poison, etc.).
An FIR was registered under A. A case was registered against the accused Yameen under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A senior police officer said that the police later arrested the accused from Seemapuri within two days. Police further said that the incident happened on January 29 when the victim along with her sister had reached the accused’s place in the Mangolpuri area to recover from the disease.
The police officer said that the accused asked the victim’s sister to wait outside and then asked the victim to take off her clothes so that mud could be rubbed on her body to cure the disease.
She was given some intoxicating substance and raped, added the police official. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
