Doctor Dies From COVID-19 In Indore, CM Says ‘Can Never Forget This Great Human’

Mumbai: A doctor who tested positive for coronavirus has died in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has expressed deep grief over the death of Punjwani and said that it would be impossible to forget this ‘supernatural’.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to Twitter to condole the doctor’s demise. “He was sacrificed while fighting the war against COVID-19 and protecting the priceless lives of others. A great man like you will never be forgotten,” CM Chouhan tweeted.

It is noteworthy that Indore is one of the three places in Madhya Pradesh, which has been sealed to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state. Indore is the worst affected city in Madhya Pradesh and it is feared that the number of positive cases in the city will increase in the coming days.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India jumped to 5,734, including 5,095 active cases, 473 cured and 166 deaths, as per Heath Ministry data at 8 am on April 9
