Exact Location Of Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram Lander On Moon Found : ISRO Chief K Sivan

Mumbai: In a huge relief to India and Indian Space Research Organization, it has been reported that the location of Vikram Lander has been located.

Vikram Lander lost communication with ISRO minutes before it could land on the moon. It was scheduled to make a soft-landing on the South Pole region of the moon.

“We have found the location of Lander Vikram on lunar surface and orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander,” K Sivan told ANI over the phone.

Well, there is no communication has been established with the Lander yet.

“We are trying to establish contact. It will be communicated soon,” he added.

He also maintained that it would be “premature to say anything”. “We are trying to establish contact with Vikram lander,” he added.

Lander Vikram was to land on the lunar surface at 1.55 am on 7 September. It was descending for 12 minutes. Three minutes before that, it lost contact with the Earth. It was 2.1 km above the lunar surface when it lost contact with the ground station of ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru.
