Footage Of Parliament Ruckus Released, Video Shows Female Guard Being Manhandled

Mumbai: Opposition members are seen jostling security personnel in the Rajya Sabha in CCTV footage released today. It showed MPs at the centre of the house and uniformed personnel apparently trying to restrain them yesterday.

Female personnel can be seen being manhandled. Opposition members are also seen tearing papers and flinging them and one MP is seen climbing a table.

Earlier today, the Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi had claimed that members of the Rajya Sabha were manhandled and physically beaten.

“Yesterday, for the first time in the history of our country, members of the Rajya Sabha were manhandled and physically beaten. This was nothing short of murder of democracy,” he said.

Attacking Rahul for his statement, BJP leader Sambit Patra alleged that the Opposition parties broke the glass inside the Parliament and said that the security guard was injured and has been admitted to the hospital.

He further said that the people of the country will not forgive these people as they are trying to murder the democracy.

Earlier on Wednesday, Opposition members in Rajya Sabha slammed the government over the incidents in the House when a bill related to insurance businesses was taken up for passage.
