France To Send Oxygen Generators, Liquid Oxygen And Ventilators To India

Mumbai: France has announced to provide eight high-capacity oxygen generators, five containers of liquid medical oxygen with each capable of supplying oxygen to up to 10,000 patients per day, and 28 ventilators to India.

According to an official notification, France will carry out a solidarity mission in support of Indians and send eight high-capacity oxygen generators, liquid oxygen and 28 ventilators.

“France and India have always stood by each other’s side in difficult times. This solidarity is at the core of our strategic partnership and the friendship between the Indian and the French peoples,” said the French government.

However, France’s Foreign Ministry has announced that the following list of equipment will be sent to India by air and sea freight by the end of this week.

Eight medical oxygen generators, manufactured by a French SME, each of which can make an Indian hospital autonomous in oxygen supply for approximately 10 years.

Oxygen production units are durable installations that can produce medical oxygen from ambient air yearlong.

Meanwhile, the French government concluded that it has sent in response to the needs expressed by India’s authorities.

This equipment is intended to not only address the emergency but also significantly and lastingly boost Indian hospitals’ capabilities to treat the sick and fight the pandemic.
