Haryana-Delhi Border Sealed; Essential Inter-State Services Curtailed

Mumbai: Haryana had sealed their borders with the national capital a few days earlier. On Friday morning, the Haryana police curbed any inter-state activity including essential service providers.

“Individual movement has also been curtailed as we are enforcing the curbing of inter-state and inter-district movement,” said ACP Karan Goyal to ANI.

Whether it is a media person, police personnel or doctors, no one will be allowed to cross the Delhi-Gurugram border, Goyal further added.

Haryana police have arranged for Rapid testing at the Delhi-Gurugram check post along with Thermal scanning. Those who cross the border need to download the Aarogya Sethu app mandatorily.

As the borders were closed on Friday morning 10 am, vehicles were lined up in the long queue for border transit but only some government and essential goods vehicles were allowed to enter the state.

The step is taken in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 as a few days back Haryana’s Health Minister Anil Vij had said that if the borders stay sealed for 15-20 days the state will be in a comfortable situation.

Haryana currently has 313 COVID-19 cases, and to prevent the situation from worsening strict steps are taken by the state government.
