How Dare She Stop A Desh Premi Iron od: Akhtar Mocks FIR Against JNUSU Prez

Mumbai: Lyricist Javed Akhtar mocked Delhi Police for filing an FIR against JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh, who was injured during Sunday’s violence in JNU.

The Delhi Police has registered four FIRs and named the JNUSU president and 19 others for allegedly vandalising the server room of the JNU and attacking staff members last week.

Reacting to the development, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar mocked the Delhi Police and asked on Twitter “how dare she stop a nationalist iron rod with her head”.

“The FIR against the president of JNUSU is totally understandable. How dare she stop a nationalist, desh Premi iron rod with her head. These anti-nationals don’t even let our poor goons swing a lathi properly. They always put their bodies there. I know they love to get hurt (sic),” Akhtar wrote on Twitter.

On Sunday evening, after an attack by a violent mob of about 50 men, the ghost was seen bleeding from his head. He was hit by an iron rod during the attack. JNUSU was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Center and discharged the next day.

According to the FIR, the police received information at 3.34 pm that some students were indulging in violence and were damaging public properties outside the Periyar Hostel in JNU.

The FIR states, “We reached the spot and found 40 to 50 unknown people, some of them with faces covered with handkerchiefs and masks, beating up other students inside and outside the hostels with sticks and sticks. , ”States the FIR.

“As soon as we arrived, these unknown people fled from the spot,” Yadav said. “We requested the students to maintain peace and not indulge in any violence,” he said.

The FIR further added, “At 7 pm, we came to know that around 40 to 50 unknown people entered the Sabarmati Hostel and started damaging students and students property.”

The police officer further stated in the FIR, “We announced to keep the peace and not indulge in violence and leave the premises immediately. The goons continued to damage the properties, but as we pressurized, they fled from the spot.”
