JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh, 19 Others Named In FIR In JNU Violence Case

Mumbai: The Delhi Police on January 4 registered an FIR against JNUSU President Aceh Ghosh and 19 others for allegedly assaulting and vandalizing the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) server room.

The police registered the FIR on January 5.

In the complaint filed by the JNU administration, the university alleged that the accused were involved in physical violence and pushed the female guards, verbally abused them and opened the lock of the university’s Communication and Information (CIS) office if they suffered dire consequences.

University officials said the students snatched up university property with criminal intent to damage public property.

“They damaged the servers and rendered it useless. They also damaged the fibre optic power supply and broke the biometric system inside the room, ”university officials alleged.

The incident allegedly took place a day before Ash Ghosh, with other JNU students and teachers being attacked by masked mobs inside the campus.
