For You By You

In My Quarantine Thoughts, There Is A Story About Us

The evening is warm,
Just like the cup of coffee in my hand.
The trees look in dismay of solitary,
Just like the loneliness within me.
The sky, it’s sinking,
Just like life in isolation.
The breeze that sings a silent melody,
Just like the cocktail of silence and hope around.

Before this isolated evening…
I have met you once,
Just like a fast train in a glance.
I have felt your heartbeat,
Just like a single beat of lab-dub.
I hold your peaceful hands,
Just for a beat of time.
I seized your time,
Just like you captured my presence.

And…
If we ever met in life again,
Just away from the ‘shor’ of this now silent city
If we talk, I will still tell my stories,
Just stories that make you giggle by heart.
If you again walked me home,
Just I will slide my hands beneath yours.
If you ever let me love you.
I will make sure it is here to stay forever.
