India Reports 22,854 New COVID-19 Cases, Highest Since Dec Last Year

Mumbai: The Union Health Ministry on Thursday reported that India has recorded 22854 new COVID-19 cases, 18,100 recoveries and 126 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Cumulative cases in the country reached 1,12,85,561 including 1,89,226 active cases and 1,09,38,146 recoveries.

The Health Ministry said that the death toll due to COVID-19 has increased to 1,58,189.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 22,42,58,293 COVID-19 samples have been tested so far, including 7,78,416 samples on Wednesday.
