India Reports 9,765 New COVID-19 Cases, 477 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 9,765 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, with this country total tally of COVID-19 cases rising to 3,46,06,541, while the active cases increased to 99,763.

The death toll rose to 4,69,724 with 477 fresh deaths, including 403 from Kerala, as per the data updated at 8 am.

A Kerala state government release said that out of 403 deaths in Kerala, 96 were designated as Covid deaths in the last few days and 307 after receiving appeals based on fresh guidelines of the Center and directions of the Supreme Court. it was done. had gone.

The daily increase in new coronavirus infections has been less than 50,000 for 158 consecutive days, the ministry said.

The ministry said active cases comprise 0.29 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.35 per cent.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.89 per cent. For the last 59 days, it is less than two per cent. The weekly positivity rate was also recorded at 0.85 per cent. According to the ministry, it has been below one per cent for the last 18 days.

The number of people cured of the disease rose to 3,40,37,054, while the death rate was recorded at 1.36 per cent.

The cumulative dose administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 124.96 crores.
