Indian Railways Using ‘Kulhad’ At 400 Station

Mumbai: On October 3 Home Minister Amit Shah said that the India Railways has started using ‘ kullad’ at 400 stations in keeping with prime minister Narendra Modi’s call to stop the use of single-use plastic.

In a tweet, Amit Shah said the move will not only help the environment but also help the growth of handicrafts and boots employment. He further attached pictures of the event of taking tea in a ‘kulhad’.

He said  “Indian railways have started using ‘kulhad’ at 400 stations in keeping with the call given by Modi ji to end single-use plastic. This will not benefit the environment but also the handicrafts and boots employment. I also enjoyed tea in ‘kulhad’.

Amit Shah who flagged off Vande Bharat train from New Delhi to Katra. This is the first commercial run of Vande Bharat will start from October 5 and the booking has started on the IRCTC website.
