India’s Tally Of Positive COVID-19 Cases Rises To 2,902

Mumbai: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday that the number of coronavirus positive cases rose to 2,902 with 355 new cases in the last 12 hours.

Out of 2,902 cases, 2,650 are active cases and 184 have been rectified or discharged.

On Saturday, the total number of deaths from the disease rose to 68. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra is the most affected state out of 423 cases. Tamil Nadu is the next most affected state with 411 cases.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi also rose to 386.

Tablighi Jamaat’s hold in Delhi has become the centre of attraction for COVID-19, as many positive cases across India were linked to deaths in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana.

Earlier in the national capital, an FIR was registered under the Epidemic Act 1897 against Pandit Saad, the head of Tablighi Jamaat and others.
