Issue Of Migrant workers needs To Be Addressed As A First Priority: Rahul Gandhi
Mumbai: Following the lockdown implemented by the centre over Coronavirus outbreak in the country it has been reported that migrants and poor have been facing problems from several parts of the country.
Reacting to this former Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, “Issue of migrant workers needs to be addressed as a first priority.”
Rahul made this remark during a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) headed by the party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi.
Party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted saying, “Rahulji says, “Issue of migrant workers needs to be addressed as a first priority.”
“Lockdown is a mere pause button. As a Nation, we need to think of a transition from a lockdown to lockdown only in disease hot zones and commencement of activities in green zones,” he added.
